Marilyn enjoys traveling, reading, good food and wine.  She and her husband Keith love to cook, entertain family and friends.   Every quarter they get together with their Adventure group.

Marilyn made a career change to the travel business 17 years ago because of her love of travel.  She specializes in leisure and small business travel.  She has traveled throughout Europe, China, Galapagos Islands, Central America, Australia, USA, Canada, and the Caribbean. Her extensive personal travel experience, vast travel knowledge and continued education have enabled her to plan detailed itineraries in Europe and the USA for her clients.  However, is her attention to detail and customer service attitude that has earned her a loyal client base. 

Lisa loves to sing and is a current member in a local women’s chorus. She also enjoys organizing parties or receptions using the Garde Manger skills she learned while working at Bally’s Las Vegas for over ten years. Her favorite vacation has always been a cruise because it’s such a carefree way to travel and see the world.

Lisa has been in the travel industry for over 11 years working primarily on leisure travel. Some of her specialties are honeymoons, cruises, Disney, Las Vegas, Italy, Greece and the United Kingdom. Lisa loves to exceed the expectations of her clients and works diligently to personalize the travel experience in every way and ease the traveler’s mind by knowing that if any issues arise during their trip that she will be there to facilitate a resolution the client can be happy with.  Lisa is also familiar with working on foreign independent travel (FIT) in multiple destinations like Europe, South America, Australia, Canada and the United States. In the past few years Lisa has explored popular tourist locations like Grand Cayman Islands, St. Lucia, Bermuda, Las Vegas, Jamaica, Disney World and had the opportunity to experience the incomparable family atmosphere of a Disney Cruise. She enjoys talking to her clients in person so she can learn exactly what they are looking for in a trip and then customize the travel components to fit their needs. Lisa makes every effort to help her clients with the little extra touches like a dinner reservation or a special show. With 27 years as a travel advisor, five of those as an agency owner, Sandra Gower knows the travel industry inside and out and has seen many changes over the years.  What makes her successful is her attention to detail and customer service.   She considers it a privilege to design creative life experiences for her clients and has created exciting itineraries for them all over the world. 

Sandra has the privilege of being appointed a Premier Aussie Specialist by Tourism Australia (one of 100 out of thousands of applicants across the United States).  She has also been appointed the east coast steering committee representative for Aussie Specialist by Tourism Australia.  She visits Australia every year and has developed strong relations with the Australian product providers.  She has visited every state and territory within Australia and personally experienced the exciting adventures the country has to offer.  In the South Pacific, in addition to Australia, Sandra specializes in New Zealand, Tahiti and Hawaii and has travel throughout those areas.

Sandra is a Spa Specialist, certified through SpaFinder and Virtuoso.  Spa travel offers great options for girl friend getaways, mother/daughter getaways, health and medical retreats.  She has participated in study programs for expedition cruising with Lindblad Expeditions, Regent Seven Seas luxury cruises, and Princess Cruise Line.  She has cruised on many of the cruise line to better allow her to assist clients in finding the perfect match for them.

She has visited South Africa and Kenya and is working on her certification in African Travel.  In addition to safari, one of her fondest travel memories is in Oudtshoorn, South Africa, with glass of wine in hand, laying back in the grass and watching shooting stars streak across the Milky Way while searching for the Southern Cross.

Closer to home, Sandra has traveled through out the Caribbean and Costa Rica and holds certifications in many of the Caribbean Islands. 

Sandra enjoys arranging honeymoons, destination weddings and family reunions.  Cruises and villa rentals are great options for family reunions.  Popular locations for villa rentals are the US Virgin Islands, the Caribbean and Italy.  Whether you enjoy traveling with a group with an escorted trip or prefer to travel at your own pace, Sandra can assist you in planning your ultimate experience. 

Mayra likes to spend quality time with her family and friends.  She loves to read and spend time out in nature gardening.  She also loves to travel and meet different people and cultures, and considers that an education in itself.  She is fully bilingual in Spanish.

Mayra has been in the business for nearly 44 years.  She started in the industry right out of college by working for a major airline for 10 years.  After that she worked for two other airlines, one a European carrier and the other a South American airline.  These years were during her time in San Juan P.R.  She became proficient in many areas by holding positions in reservations, at the sales office, ticket office, and the airport.  This gave her an opportunity to meet many people from different backgrounds, and to help them during difficult situations while always aiming to end with a happy traveler.

Once she moved over to the agency side of the business, she started as a corporate travel consultant.  During those years she received many different types of training and did a lot of traveling in the continental US as well as  in the Caribbean including the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands Aruba, Curacao.  She also travelled in Central America to Costa Rica, Panama, Guatemala, Mexico (many different states) as well as the South American countries of Venezuela, Colombia, Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay.

After relocating back to the continental United States she has been working as a Leisure travel consultant, and has earned two DS (destination specialist) certifications, one to North America and the other one to Western Europe. For the last 5 ½ years she has been with Maupin Travel where she has completed her Virtuoso Accreditation Program, and she enjoys using her training expertise and travel experiences in helping her clients with their needs and desires in doing scheduled tours, as well as FIT Travel.  She also has travelled several times to Western Europe visiting Spain, England, Scotland, France, Switzerland, Italy and Greece.  Her travel experience also includes cruising several times and she has really enjoyed those experiences that included destinations such as Alaska, the Panama Canal,  and the Caribbean.  At present her areas of focus are in Leisure travel but she also works on corporate travel, including group travel.  You can really tell that she enjoys her work, and ensuring that her clients have the best possible travel experience possible.

Louanne has enjoyed traveling with family, friends over many years.  She enjoys attending concerts and sporting events.  She loves to snorkel and swim.  She has snorkeled most of the Caribbean, Belize and even Australia’s barrier reef.

Louanne joined Maupin Travel in fall of 2007 as a leisure travel consultant.  Louanne has been an agent for 37 years.  She worked previously as a travel agency manager for 10 years but preferred selling leisure vacations.  She can sell any destination in the world and enjoys customizing trips to client’s interests.

Louanne holds the designation CTC, Certified Travel Counselor, the only professional certification program in the travel industry.    She earned her CTC from the Travel Institute in 1987. Louanne is a lifetime member of the Travel Institute and is dedicated to her profession.  She has also earned Destination Specialist such as Africa, Canada, Norwegian Cruise Specialist and Aussie Expert. 

Louanne has toured Alaska, Australia, Belize, Brazil, Chile, Costa Rica, Europe, England and Ireland.  She has also traveled around the US, Caribbean and Canada extensively.   Cruising is a special interest to Louanne.  She feels cruising offers extra value and is a great way to unpack once to visit many interesting destinations on one trip.  Europe river cruising is becoming a great way to see Europe in a more leisurely pace with many inclusions.  

Louanne has extensive experience in doing custom foreign independent travel. 

Karen enjoys spending time with her family, yoga, her wine club and hiking nearby parks. She is an avid skier and has skied many of the mountains in the Western US. Foreign travel with her husband and 3 children have been highlight adventures for her entire family.

Karen has been in the travel business for 31 years. She has worked for Maupin Travel for more than 12 of those years. Prior to joining Maupin Travel, she spent many years working for several different tour operators and an airline.

Karen’s favorite part of her job is finding the “ideal” vacation for her leisure clients. She has broad travel experience with a particular love for European travel.  The first time she went to Europe she stayed four months and explored all of the countries in Western Europe. She has since visited dozens of times and has thoroughly explored her favorite countries- France, Spain, Italy & Greece.

Karen’s love of travel started long ago during college when she studied abroad her junior year in Mexico.  She has lived in Mexico on 3 separate occasions and knows the country intimately, and is completely fluent in Spanish. Always eager to explore a new place, Karen has also visited several countries in South America, most all of the Caribbean islands and Tahiti in addition to many places in the US and enjoyed many cruise experiences.

Karen’s personal travels and her years of experience have given her an ability to craft the ideal custom trip for the independent traveler.  She has sailed most of the major cruise lines and can provide personal experience to ensure a wonderful cruise vacation for her clients.
